Ogunyakin Richard

Ogunyakin Richard is currently the Managing Director of Nowal Shipping Services Nigeria Limited. Ogunyakin brings more than twenty years’ hands-on experience into the system / maritime industry. He is responsible for general coordinating of the Branches in Nigeria.

Prior to joining Nowal Shipping, Ogunyakin had spent more than twenty years with various maritime / shipping organization in Lagos, Phc, Warri and Calabar, serving in various capacity.

Ogunyakin Richard is a graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University, also with an Advance Diploma in Shipping, Ports’ Administration and Management from the University of Lagos and holds various professional certificates.

Ogunyakin Richard has attended several maritime related courses/seminars locally

He is confident, conscientious and motivated individual with good interpersonal skills who works well under pressure and can maintain flexibility and commitment in a changing environment. He approaches all aspects of life and work with determination, integrity and initiative.

With more than 20 years experience in the Maritime industry, handling of variety of vessels; Oil tankers, Dry cargoes, Tug boats, Ship to Ships Operations, Crew Handling, and Documentation in all aspect will not be a problem to Nowal Shipping Services Ltd at all.

Knowledge of port rules & regulations, Strong customer service ability, Good communication, organizational and Problem solving skills, Strong analytical skills with ability to develop strategies and tactics as well as implementation skills.

Knowledge of Clearing and Forwarding, Knowledge of Ship Chartering / Marketing and Knowledge of Haulage / Transport.

Lucky Egbedi

Lucky Egbedi is the Head of Operations in Nowal Shipping Services Nigeria Limited. Before joining Nowal Shipping Services, he had put in more than twenty years in the Nigeria Maritime Industry.

He joined Overseas Agency Nigeria Limited (OAN) as a Ship Side Operation staff and rose to the position of the Shipping Manager. He later resigned from OAN and joined Shore Maritime Global Service where he worked as the Head of Shipping and Operations.

Lucky also worked for Mars Multiconcept Nigeria Limited as the Assistant General Manager, Shipping and Operation.

He is the Secretary to Lagos Pilotage berthing meeting. Lucky is the Vice President Lagos, Maritime Tankers Association of Nigeria. He is a member of the Shipping Trade Group of Nigeria, a member of Nigeria Institute of Shipping, a member of the National Seafarer’s Welfare Board of Nigeria. Lucky is also a NIMASA Certify Handler of Dangerous Goods.

Lucky Egbedi is member Shipping Companys’ Advisory Committee to Nigeria Ports Authority on shipping and operations matters.

Junaid Yomi

Yomi Juniad is currently the Head of Accounting Unit, at Nowal Shipping Services Nig. Limited. Yomi brings more than ten years’ hands-on experience mostly in the field of accounting to Nowal shipping, She is responsible for the smooth running of company’s finance matters and take care of the ICT Unit focusing on System Installation & Administration, Network Administration, System & Application Integration, Operations works eg declaration of vessel to Nigerian Administration And Safety Agency, Also She represent the company (Nowal Shipping) in the Oil and Terminal Dues to defend their various vessel.

Prior to joining Nowal Shipping, Yomi spent more than seven years at OAN agency – a shipping company where she was responsible for the smooth running of the firm’s ICT infrastructure in Lagos as an assistance in the ICT. Before she later joined the operational/documentation department where she is charge with the responsibilities of declaring their vessel to Nimasa, Renewing their license with government representative like DPR, NPA and NIMASA. She also worked for Bode Institute as a company’s secretary.

Yomi obtained her BSC certificate at the University of Lagos, Also a graduate of Nigeria Institute of Shipping (NIS) where she increase her knowledge in shipping, she obtained a certificate in Office Management and Secretarial Studies (Second-Class Honours Upper Division) from the Federal College of Education (TECH) Akoka and she acquire her training on ICT as IT student at OAN.
